THE STORY OF BLACK WISDOM CONCEPTS

My name is Duane Ryan Baptiste. For as long as I can remember, I have always been passionate about helping people with my experiences.

Academically speaking, I have my bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Professionally speaking. 

I have 8 years of Tutoring experience, 5 years of Teaching experience, and 3 years in Leadership.

In my journey of educating, I have taught in different parts of the New York City Metropolitan Area, and I have worked alongside of leaders of different education agencies both large and small. I worked with the local agency of the City University of New York, and the State agency of the Human Resources Administration. Currently, I work freelance with the national tutoring agency of Varsity Tutors.

To Summarize Black Wisdom Concepts, it is a Supplemental Education Services program created to provide support to learners from different walks of life.

To briefly quote a book, " There are 3 types of knowledge: Inert knowledge, Activated Ignorance, and Activated Knowledge"

My philosophy is that we are here to learn and the best way to learn is if we can relate to it and use it in our daily lives as opposed to learning something for the sake of forgetting it. I wanted to create a hub of knowledge that teaches us the things we did not learn in school and a greater appreciation of what we already learn in school.
